SANTA CLAUS' VISIT RE-RESCHEDULED!
Date: 12/16/2007 Santa is a VERY busy guy this time of year. He wanted to make sure he gets enough rest before Christmas, so he asked if we could take him around the Llanerch neighborhoods on Saturday, rather than Sunday. Who are we to argue with Santa?! Santa Claus will be visiting the Llanerch neighborhoods on Saturday, December 22nd. We expect him to arrive around noon, right after he eats his lunch. He will be riding in the LFC apparatus throughout the district handing out candy canes for all the good little boys and girls. His elves and LFC members will be helping out as well. Keep an eye out for Santa when you hear the sirens. And you better be good for goodness sake!

A CUT ABOVE THE REST
Date: 12/03/2007 Tonight for drill, members of the LFC reviewed saw operations. Part of the drill involved hands-on evolutions in cutting metal, as well as using the Warthog Blade to cut through wood. The Warthog Blade is an aggressive blade we use for ventilation, allowing us to cut through shingles, tar paper, and nails like butter. Operations, maintenance, and safety were covered during this training exercise. For some of our newer members, this was their first opportunity utilizing this equipment.
