Llanerch Fire CompanyScholarship ProgramWho is EligibleActive members in good standing their children may apply. All determinations concerning eligibility of an applicant will be made by the Board of Directors.Applicants may include1. Graduating Seniors2. Persons who have completed a high school program and have a diploma3. Undergraduates or graduate presently enrolled at an institution of higher education. Previous scholarship winners are eligible to reapply.How would the scholarship awardees be selected The selection committee will evaluate each application based on the following1. The applicants personal statement indicating goals2. Participation in Llanerch Fire Company and any other volunteer programsHow much scholarship aid would be available The amount of the money in the scholarship fund is created by the Board of Director. Interested persons or organizations are welcome to make additional contributions to the Scholarship Fund.Depending on the number and quality the selection committee may allot the fund as it see fit. Each award will be made for one academic year. For tax reasons the grants will be payable to the school not the student as payment toward bills presented.What is the purpose and intent of these scholarships These grants will be made to assist members of the Llanerch Fire Company in good standing their children in pursuing post- high school education.How do you apply for this scholarship Applications are available from the Chief or his designee or from the Scholarship Committee. Applicants must complete and submit a Scholarship Application packet by January 21 2011 to the Scholarship Committee.Who will select the awardeesThe Scholarship Committee consisting of an educator and members of the Board of Directors. The awardees will be notified at the Annual Banquet.
