At 20:13 hours on Sunday, February 12 Llanerch Fire Company was dispatched to the intersection of West Chester Pike and Township Line Road for a fuel spill.
Engine 34-2 arrived to find gasoline leaking from a vehicle into a storm drain after an automobile accident. Crews deployed absorbent pads over the storm drain and built a berm using oil socks and granular absorbent to halt the flow of gasoline into the drain.
Engine 34-1 responded to assist. 34-1's crew proceeded to secure the vehicle's electrical system. Crews stood by until the vehicle was safely removed by towing company. Fire crews cleared at 20:49 hours.
